Each day thousands of dead skin cells are being shed from your face. So as you grow your beards, your beards holds this skin cells together and pushed them close to your face.

This is what causes your beards to itch.

This will definitely help with the itching.

If your beard is already full and it is still itching you, then it is probably damaged from the kind of soaps you are using or probably using hot water when washing your beards.

What you should do is to use cold or lukewarm water. Hot water causes damage to your skin and causes itching.
