A fresh oil spill from shells pipe line has devastated the people living in the community of Ikarama community of Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State.....
Community sources says that the oil spill happened last Wednesday and the spills have being spreading fast into surrounding swamps
However there have being conflicting reports to as what caused the incident......
While a source said it was caused by sabotage other corespondent said it was caused by corrosion as a result of the crude oil bubbling from the affected portion of the pipe line underground and then flowing into community aided by flood.
An official of the community have called the company to immediately send its response team to help do a clean up of the area and stop the cause of the affected pipeline.
